Q: How do you select the candidates that appear as look-a-likes on your show?
A: Potential look-a-likes must attend a live audition judged by our style team. Auditions are held in Toronto, Canada each season. We will post the audition dates and times on the home page of our web site.
Q: Are auditions held anywhere else besides Toronto, Canada?
A: Unfortunately, we only hold auditions in Toronto, Canada. Many look-a-likes have travelled from various provinces and States to attend the auditions. Please note that the show will not pay for your travel or accommodation expenses during the audition process.
Q: How do I find out about when and where the auditions will be held?
A: In addition to visiting the home page of the web site, if you would like to be considered to appear on the show, please send an email to experts@lookaliketv.com with your name, address, contact information as well as the name of the celebrity you think you look like. It is always helpful to include a recent photo of yourself. Your information will be added to our database and you will receive an email notice of any future auditions or opportunities.
Q: What if I don't live near Toronto, do you pay for travel expenses?
A: The show will not be responsible for travel expenses during the auditions or if you are chosen to appear on an episode.
Q: Do you pay the participants?
A: We do not pay participants but when look-a-likes appear on the show, they receive a chance of lifetime to walk in the shoes of their favourite celeb for a day including a full head-to-toe makeover from top stylists. Selected Look-A-Likes are also treated to a fashion shoot and receive a DVD copy of the episode in which they appeared.
